Dare to throw high
Daring to throw higher is a challenge, but if you have some good basic knowledge, you can do it, even if you are not big and strong. The workshop is practical, and Sonja's demonstrations are interspersed with your own work and individual guidance.
The course fee includes:
- Material: 5kg stoneware clay, thereafter clay costs 50kr/kg
- Bisque firing of 1 piece/person
- The Pottery Workshop's lovely fabric bag
- Coffee/tea and snack items after lunch
- Opportunity to leave your work clothes and shoes over the weekend
Prerequisites
Have completed at least one weekend course in pottery.
Course structure and content
This course teaches you everything about centering more clay and then being able to lift it high. Sonja loves teaching the craft and believes that anyone can learn this with patience and, above all, with the right technique. She loves meeting students and is passionate about sharing her very best tips for increasing size on the pottery wheel.
Everyone has their own pottery wheel with adequate spacing and plexiglass between participants' places. The group consists of a maximum of 15 participants.
Sustainable materials
In the courses, we work with stoneware clay from the German company Witgerts. At the Pottery Workshop, we are very mindful of the environment and operate according to a sustainability plan in everything we do. The clays we purchase therefore come as much as possible from Witgerts, which has a strong environmental policy.
Where
In the fine course facilities of the Pottery Workshop at Holländargatan 33, Stockholm.
