- Drejverkstaden fabric bag
- 3kg stoneware clay (after that 70 SEK/kg) + slips/glazes/decorative materials + firing
- Coffee/tea and snacks during the break every time

Prerequisites
The course is suitable for both complete beginners and those with previous experience at an intermediate level. The teaching is conducted in the form of individual guidance, and you have good opportunities to develop if you take multiple courses or sessions. A certificate of completed course will be provided if desired.
Course structure and content
You will learn throwing, trimming, decoration techniques, and glazing. You will also be shown how to throw cups, bowls, jars, and candlesticks - tall, short, large, and small. We will also learn about wedging, recycling, and other aspects of the ceramic process. Depending on your skill level, we will help you further develop. Those who have taken the course before will receive new tasks/challenges during the different sessions if they wish.
Session 1: Mandatory session for beginners. Demonstration of centering and throwing the basic shape cylinder.
Session 2: Demonstration of trimming
Sessions 3-5: Practice and demonstration of various techniques
Session 6: Try porcelain clay, recycling, and practice throwing
Session 7: Glazing
The teaching consists mainly of practical work under the guidance of the course leader. Everyone has their own potter's wheel throughout the course.
Make up for missed sessions
Nothing we guarantee can be done, but if you notify us of your absence in good time, there is a possibility that we can try to arrange for you to make up for someone else's spot. (Especially if you have unfortunately missed several times)
Sustainable materials
In the courses, we work with two different stoneware clays. The advantage of stoneware is that the fired pieces are very durable and that the glazes are more environmentally friendly. At Drejverkstaden, we are very mindful of the environment and work in everything we do according to a sustainability plan. The clays we purchase come from Witgerts, which has a strong environmental policy. We strive to mix the glazes as environmentally friendly and sustainable as possible. We pre-rinse all our glazing tools.
