The success is back! Welcome to an inspiring and educational two-day course led by the award-winning ceramicist and throwing world champion Nina Bergqvist! Here you will have the opportunity to focus on throwing large and tall – a technique that will take your ceramics to new heights.
Nina Bergqvist made history as the first woman in Sweden to receive a Master’s certificate in pottery in 2017. The Master’s certificate is the highest award in craft professions and confirms exceptional professional skills and solid experience. In addition, Nina is a two-time world champion in technical throwing, a discipline where one must throw a cylinder as high as possible and a plate as wide as possible within a time limit. Nina is a highly appreciated teacher at Formakademin, where she has taught for over 30 years. In spring 2025, Nina visited Drejverkstaden for the first time, and we can only say that she is an absolutely incredible woman and an extremely pedagogical teacher.
