Warm welcome to Reckitt for a pottery course at The Pottery Studio. We look forward to showing and teaching you a bit about the ceramic world that we find so very amazing this afternoon.
Time: April 16 from 14:00 to 17:00. Please arrive about 5 minutes before the course starts.
Number & price: 12 people. Price: 1300kr + VAT/person.
Course structure and content: You will learn the basics of throwing. Your teacher will explain the clay and the process as well as demonstrate how to throw. Then you will get to throw as much as you can and want during the coming hours. You will be able to save 2 pieces/person, which we will then send to you (prepare the bottom, etc.). If you wish to save more pieces, an additional 300kr/piece will apply, which can be paid on-site via Swish. After the course, the pieces must dry properly and be bisque fired. We will then glaze your pieces after a joint decision on glaze color. After that, they will be glaze fired, and you can come and pick up your finished artworks about 5-6 weeks after the course day. (We will email you when they are ready for pickup). Everyone has their own potter's wheel throughout the event.
Bring: Comfortable work clothes, an apron or similar. An apron is available on-site to borrow if desired. Also, bring shoes/sandals to work in that can get a bit muddy. Bringing your own snacks and drinks is also perfectly fine.
