  • 3kg stoneware clay (then 70kr/kg) + slips/glazes/decorative materials + firing
  • Coffee/tea and snack accessories during the break every time
  • Possibility to leave your work shoes

Prerequisites

Have completed at least 2 day or evening courses at the Pottery Workshop or similar experience

Course structure and content

In this course, we delve into the different parts of throwing. We learn to throw large, throw on the wheel, series production, how to trim the clay as well as various decoration techniques and glazing.

Opportunities 1-5: Different elements and techniques
Opportunity 6: Porcelain clay, recycling, training wheel, etc.
Session 7: Glazing

The teaching mainly consists of practical work under the guidance of the course leader. Everyone has their own potter's wheel throughout the course.

Make up for a missed opportunity
Nothing we guarantee that one can do, but if you report your absence in good time, there is a possibility that we can try to rearrange so that you can make up for someone else's spot later. (Especially if you have had the misfortune of perhaps missing several times)

Sustainable materials

In the courses, we work with two different stoneware clays. The advantage of stoneware is that the fired goods are very durable and that the glazes are more environmentally friendly. At the Pottery Workshop, we are very mindful of the environment and work in everything we do according to a sustainability plan. The clays we purchase come from Witgerts, which has a strong environmental policy. We strive to mix the glazes as environmentally friendly and sustainable as possible. We pre-rinse all our glazing tools.
